Several weeks ago we traveled to Kentucky to attend the funeral of my Great Aunt Ene and her son Ben. This was my grandpa's last sister so it wasn't easy on my grandparents. We jumped on the chance to travel down there with my parents and I am so glad we did. Grandma and Grandpa Varney's house hold a VERY special place in my heart and anytime I can go I am on it and I really believed that by bringing our kids it would be a good joyful distraction. Several of my Uncles were there and we were able to see our buddies the Nelsons! Here are some pics....

Love LOVE LOOOVE this picture. The kids are sitting in the rock gutter that runs along side of the drive way at my grandparents. This was a place of many an adventure for my cousins, brother and I. At the end there were always lots of frogs to catch! |

And this my friends is how Eric had to drive when Mark thought it would be a good idea to get in the back of Eric's little truck and ride by Nikki. Oh man, we sure felt like a bunch of crazy teenagers.
So happy we took this trip!!! |
