I don't think that being super mommy is automatic, I just don't think that it happens for everyone when their babies are born. Not for me, it was a whirlwind, it is hard, it is WORK. True, hard work and until you have experienced AROUND THE CLOCK care of a child you can't understand it. The good news is that, slowly I think it shows up and you start to fit into your role a bit better and even enjoy it most of the time instead of sometimes. As Lillie is getting older I am enjoying my time with her so much more. She is like a little buddy, and she brings out the kid in me. We sing together at the top of our lungs and dance like maniacs, sometimes we run around the house just for fun (and to wear her out before naptime...). Today it was $5 days at the Grand Harbour Indoor waterpark here in Dubuque. Lillie and I went with some of our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) friends. And we had a grand ol' time. Lillie wanted to go down the big tube slides, so down we went, again and again she just couldn't get enough of it. It was so great going down the slide with her holding on to me and seeing her big smile when we got to the end. The great thing is...that she even sat by my side sticking her little feet in when it was the moms turn to sit in the hot tub. She is a fun gal and I am proud to be her mommy.
