Who's Who?

So... a few people have mentioned that Titus looks nothing like Lillie did. We have even thought this ourselves. So we did a little research, below are pictures taken of each child as they came home from the hospital when they were four days old.

So other than the couple of pounds difference....

All Home Together

We are so happy to be all together in our own home, not to mention comfy beds. Lillie was excited to see us all come home and loves her new little brother. She is constantly stopping to wave at him or "gently" rub his head.

Sooooo excited to see her brother!!!!

Oh Sweet Boy...

Here are some more pictures of our sweet little guy. He has been eating so well and sleeping great at night! We are hoping this will continue once we get home and its not just a fake out! Mommy has a head cold so that really has been the hardest part of her recovery! Sneezing is no fun! Mommy and Titus got a good nap today though so that was nice. Lillie has been hanging out with Grammie and some friends during the day. We are so thankful to all of you who have helped us out! We will be going home tomorrow and we are very excited to be able to be all together. We miss our Lillie girl!

He is such a snuggler!!

Great Grandpa Garrett brought Lillie a little horse and she was very happy about that!

T-minus 14 hours

Tomorrow is the day. We are so excited, happy, anxious, eager, nervous, and ready to name a few. It is a little weird to think that tomorrow at 10:00 am we will check into the hospital and then at noon we will get to hold our new baby boy! Don't worry, as soon as he comes Emily's parents will be taking a lot of pictures and I will make sure to post them asap. So please keep Emily and Titus in your prayers and check back tomorrow afternoon.

Captain Tin Man

Matt Derby, Back of the Year. Steve Ruden, Player of the Year. Ryan Oberhoffer, Rookie of the Year. Jesse Miller aka "Gonzo", Forward of the Year. Mark, The Tin Man.

I just have to boast a bit about my hubby...because he won't...which is how we got here in the first place.

Last night we attended our 4th Rugby Banquet and had a great time. It is hard to believe that we have been involved with DRC for that long. It has been such an awesome experience and we are building some good relationships, its starting to feel like a family to us!

At these banquets they hand out special awards, Forward of the Year, Back of the Year, Rookie of the Year, the Annual Steven Ruden award (aka Player of the Year) and the Tin Man Award. Well my husband was proudly announced the Tin Man for the year. This award is given each year to the one who plays with the most heart and is dedicated to the team. As they were talking about this award Mark said, "Oh this is easy it should go to ____ and named one of the players from the team." It was to his great surprise when they announced Mark Smith! I was beaming, so proud and feeling so lucky! Well not only is my hubby the Tin Man for the year but they have now asked him to be the Captain of the Rugby team!!!! Yey for him! I am so proud of him. I am one lucky girl.

Halleluiah!!

Well today Mark and I took a trip to the bank and tonight we got one of these! You should go! No really, the Lord is so good and caused a lot of things to fall into place!
We now have a DEPENDABLE vehicle!!!
A 2006
Navy Blue Suburban!
Thank you Lord!!!

P.S. This is not the exact suburban, duh we live in Iowa and its January so ours didn't come with sunshine and mountains like in this picture.

9 Months Pregnant!!

Here are some pictures that Mark took on Friday, 9 months pregnant with 20 days until my scheduled c-section. I am feeling rather anxious, ready to see my sweet baby boy's face and ready to have my space back. You know ready to not have some of his body parts invading my ribs or diaphragm or kidney. Haha, I forgot the bliss of the last month! I am incredibly thankful to have this second blessing on the way so don't get me wrong as I vent about my discomfort!

I would however like to ask for some prayer. I have a scheduled c-section, Dr. recommended after all the craziness we had with Lillie and also due to the short time I have had to heal between babies. Yet, my heart still wishes that somehow some way this baby boy would just come on his own, before my c-section. I am sure if you have had c-sections you know the pull that your heart-strings have to have a baby "normally". No matter what I do want what is safest for the both of us, I just still find myself hoping that I will dilate fast and labor would go so quickly. Every mom who has had repeat c-sections that I have spoke with has not regretted it one bit, they are glad in the end they made that decision and those who have had v-bacs, have mixed reviews. So I guess in all of this...just pray for my heart to be at peace with how God decides he is going to bring this sweet baby into my arms.

Dream Come True

Perhaps my most favored present, one I have wished for and hoped for and even dreamed about. Yes, here it is a Black, 5 qt., Kitchen Aid. Thank you Santa...aka Mom and Dad! And thank you Grandma Lillie for the gift card to Lowe's that allowed us to free up some counter space for this doll and install an over the range microwave! How blessed I am!
