Rescued!

It is sad to think that I have settled for comfort in the past. That I haven't wanted my boat to be rocked because I might get wet and mess up my hair. I knew that in my comfort I was missing something and I see now it is JOY in our Great God. Our God who we can be CONFIDENT. SURE. and SECURE in. Praise You Jesus that when you rocked my boat I thought I was going to drown but instead you rescued me from a boring comfortable life.

Psalm 30:1-12 (The Message)

A David Psalm
1 I give you all the credit, God— you got me out of that mess,
you didn't let my foes gloat.

2-3 God, my God, I yelled for help
and you put me together.
God, you pulled me out of the grave,
gave me another chance at life
when I was down-and-out.

4-5 All you saints! Sing your hearts out to God!
Thank him to his face!
He gets angry once in a while, but across
a lifetime there is only love.
The nights of crying your eyes out
give way to days of laughter.

6-7 When things were going great
I crowed, "I've got it made.
I'm God's favorite.
He made me king of the mountain."
Then you looked the other way
and I fell to pieces.

8-10 I called out to you, God;
I laid my case before you:
"Can you sell me for a profit when I'm dead?
auction me off at a cemetery yard sale?
When I'm 'dust to dust' my songs
and stories of you won't sell.
So listen! and be kind!
Help me out of this!"

11-12 You did it: you changed wild lament
into whirling dance;
You ripped off my black mourning band
and decked me with wildflowers.
I'm about to burst with song;
I can't keep quiet about you.
God, my God,
I can't thank you enough.

To the West Continued!

Here are some more pictures of our adventure. We have spent sometime basking in the sun and playing very hard! We took a couple of days and went to Seattle to see some of Mark's family and to visit the Point Defiance Zoo. We are having a great time here!

Playing with fellow cousin Silas....

Riding ferocious alligators....

Brushing goats...

Surviving crazy shark attacks with cousin Kodi...

Posing with elephants...

Watching sea otters...

This was mommy's FAVORITE animal. This huge walrus weighed 3300 lbs!!! He barked, growled, talked and whistled! He also rolled back into the water, floated on his back with his arms crossed on his chest!

The peacock who greeted us!

This was fathers day, 4 generations. Daddy, Titus, Great Grandpa Smith and his son Grandpa Smith! Great Grandpa Smith is holding up his thumb and warning Titus that his will go crooked too if he keeps chewing/sucking on it!

We've Made It!

We set out bright and early Saturday AM at a beautiful 5 am! We arrived at Devils Tower Wyoming that evening and set up camp! We had a great night camping, the kids did awesome and slept through the night in the tent! The next day we made breakfast consisting of eggs, toast and of course coffee. Then we set out for Spokane Washington, Grandma Smiths house! After a few or many a few stops for diapers, feedings and explorations we arrived here safe and sound! We will be here until the 25th, at the end of the week we are going to take a short trip over to Seattle. We will try to keep posting some pictures!

Here is our blurry Wall Drug picture. We didn't know it was blurry till we got in the car!

Can we just take the stage coach guys?

Titus doing his stretches after the long ride.

This sign says "Continental Divide" Can you not see it through the rain drops and blur? Mark was so excited about this sign. My geography genius.

Good day!

I just have to say what a good day it has been!

I had a dentist CLEANING but unfortunately didn't past the test as Mark calls it. I have to get a crown redone (at thier expense) and 2 cavities filled. Boo. But hey she worked on my coffee stains...haha Then I ran a couple quick errands and had coffee with Kati, which was so long over due and it was so sweet to catch up. I had a wonderful visit with our "Nena" who brought Lillie all kinds of fun surprises for our road trip! Then Lillie helped me air out sleeping bags, wash out the cooler, blow bubbles and bake cookies! I had a great conversation with my daddy and a wonderful dinner with my family!

It is almost time to relax with my hubby!

Oh and here is one of our camping stops along the way for those of you who think we are crazy....
